New Programs and Updates in Vista
Vista comes with a lot of new software and upgrades.
If you didn’t check them already, here are some of the main features of new operation system:
- Instant Search - searches your PC for the search phrase you type, even inside files that have different names. It’s very nice way to open programs without ever taking your hands off the keyboard;
- Windows Mail - the same Outlook, but with spam filter this time;
- Photo Gallery - touching up, organizing, and sharing your digital photos in the new way;
- Internet Explorer 7 - new, more secur, version of IE;
- Windows Media Player 11 - new look, and ability to share your audio and video files across the network usig another Vista powered PCs or Xbox 360;
- Speech Recognition - a way improved since old speech recognition feature. You can dictate email and documents, and even control Windows itself, all by voice;
- SuperFetch - speeds up your PC by analyzing when you tend to use certain programs. ReadyBoost lets you use the RAM on a flash drive as extra memory for greater speed;
- The Sidebar - offers a floating panel filled with tiny, single-purpose programs called gadgets: a stock ticker, weather reporter, address book lookup, and so on.
